Wakefield thurs 17th sept + question

Anyone Heading down WP on the 17th? I'll be down and taking the new ape. Quick gearing question should I put on a standard rear sprocket? The bikes currently got EC gearing? I've never bothered changing sprockets on the 600...
Also anyone want to chuck up a link to a few laps on a 1000? I Haven't been down there in 18 mths and will be my 1st time on a 1k, so I'm Interested in seeing some gear selection prior to getting on track.

    Cheers Luke

I tend to leave EC gearing on the bigger bikes for Wakey.... the gearchange points just kinda line up well, and you can do most of the track in 3rd. Even though the revs look very low, there's no benefit from going to 2nd around the fishhook (tight right-hander), as you can't get the extra power to the ground and the gearshift to 3rd while totally cranked over just upsets the bike. Just use the mid-range drive of the V4

Rain I know.... I've been off the bike for 6mth apart from a mundane track day on the 600 at SMSP last mth. Got the new bike ready, so im going either way.
Looks like I'll be trying out wets for the 1st time ...

Was a top day. Nice to meet you Mstevo.
I had a ball on the RSV4, a few teething problems but pretty much sorted.

Best I could manage today was a 112. Not to bad on a new bike, I'm still getting back my confidence after my crash, so was happy to slot in behind a few riders, follow there lines and get to know the bike.
I'll chuck up a vid for some opinions once I get a chance to edit.
    Cheers Luke
