I been telling you guys for ages that I cant ride for peanuts but none of you believe me so now I got proof.
After taking only 1 second off my SMP PB yesterday I get fed up going slow so I ask Brad Swallow if he wants to do my last 2 races today.
Hes already doing SuperSport on a ZX6 and Formula OZ on a ZX10 so why not a third class to cool down with.
His first race he goes 2 seconds faster than me and finishes 4.5 seconds behind the leader but the bike needs taller gearing cause hes lighter and smaller.
So I go up 1 on the front sprocket to 15-44.
Second race, Im waiting outside his pit with the bike, hes just done both a SuperSport race and a Formula OZ race back to back, comes into the pit lane
jumps of his ZX10 while its still moving and slings a leg over the Ripper and takes off MotoGP style without saying a word or even lifting his visor. and makes
it down to pit exit before the 45 second window shuts. The race..you just have to see the video, Ill put it up soon. He shoves it past the other guys in places you just cant go.
He gets fastest lap in the race and with 110hp (dyno'd) comes to within 0.2 seconds of the eFXC lap record that was set on Voltron last year with 230hp !!!!
Sets a new top speed for the bike of 217kmh and 5 seconds a lap faster than me with only 6 laps on the bike.

Watch the bike nudging forward as the light goes red. Hes trying to rev the throttle like a gas bike.
Also watch Varley (blue bike) gets loose as a goose through T1 & T3 lap 1.

Yeah, one thing you cant do with a gas bike is a monster 250kmh burnout. More smoke means more better.

Few pics from the weekend. Great weekend, PB's smashed and some very close racing with Aaron in his RSV4.
Still need to spend some time on the launch control settings, but it turns in and stops now with the new setup

I know but we make up for it in SMOKE. Guarantee you have never seen this much smoke come from a bike !
This track side live feed video is the best ive seen in 5 years of racing.
go to second screen down and ff to 5h 21m. watch Swallow smash his way through and nearly win.

It was a "media" grid, they stopped on the start for tv cameras to come through, then we went off on our two warm up laps.
I didn't know what was going off lol

Kudos to you Daniel. Giving Brad a run was a brilliant idea. All his followers watched the race and got them interested in the Efx as well.

Brad literally did 3 back to back races - supersport/ FOz and Efx. His words before exiting pit exit to me were that this was the easier one (when compared to a zx10 and the power etc). He was having a ball. The kids got stamina and a great attitude and outlook to boot.

He and his family are doing it the hard way, no major sponsors and funding it mostly themselves. Giving them an opportunity like Daniel did is great stuff and ends up a win win as more exposure for both bike and rider.

Well Done to both of you.

    Cheers

Brad swallow is a great talent doing both classes very impressive 34's too now
As a rideday punter and paying spectator i want to hear the engine and gear changes/wheelspin/tc etc which in turn gives me an idea on things to work on in future.

    Thanks Mick.
I couldn't ask for a better rider. Brad rides the bike exactly the same way I do in terms of controls. I don't use engine brake so I asked Brad if he wanted me to dial some in on the laptop but he said he would just use the regen lever which is what I do. He loves that regen, its like the latest cool gadget. He is getting used to the bike quite quickly even though its essentially from another planet compared to his ZX6. Theres no pedals but he has gone for the rear brake pedal and found nothing there, Ive don't the same. He rests his left fingers on the regen lever and because it has a hair trigger and its fly by wire, it overrides the throttle and cuts it out. Hes learning to keep his fingers off the lever.
Even Brads riding style is exactly what Im looking for, His "get outta my way, don't make me angry" arrogance is what wins races. Next year is going to go wild.

Definitely was an awesome meet - I wish we had more track time!

Happy to be in the low low 36s with a bike that clearly needed alot more setup help
