MA license questions

So with the death of the AASA license I too received a MA license in the mail, only it was already expired when it arrived... Now I obviously need to renew it but since I never had one before I'm a bit unsure of how the process goes, I'm not even sure if I can renew the one I received or if I have to apply for a new one. Can anyone shed some light on this?
