Well my one is dead will run bike up to 4,000 then engine breaks down (may try in road bike) ... don't know why - too much or too little Volts or Amps from the Frank'N'Cati alternator but I'm sticking with Pb from now on

Firstly, if it powers the bike up to 4k rpm, it's not 'dead'. Secondly, you ran it flat, right? Because that's a pretty good way to ruin any battery but specifically lithium batteries. Thirdly, perhaps your Frankenbike needed a higher capacity battery than standard. Fourthly, it sounds like there's an alternator issue with your specific, cobbled together, ancient twin cylinder bitza bike with questionable electrics.

Feel completely free to stick to lead acid technology, but please don't lump all lithium batteries in with your one poor experience (which would appear to be user error, and bike specific). Most people with bikes made after the time Noah was looking for a career change go fantastically well with lithium batteries, and greatly benefit from not having to trickle charge a lead acid battery the whole time.

    No lumping there

Didn't need to do any trickle charging
