Doesn't look too bad just from the photos. Hopefully it isn't.

Looks ok to me too. Fairings and dash area, plus the usual scrapes and consumables.

I'm surprised it's not stripped and on it's way back together again, although you'll have to make more space in the shed to swing your crutches around first ;-)

Bugger! I can see marks on the tank but it looks like it didn't cartwheel which is very lucky for the speed that it would've been sliding along at.

Here's hoping that dash on the last pic is not the HM one!

    How'd the surgery go?

My foot removed the chain from the sprocket, I'm pretty sure, when my footpeg broke, causing the accident. Time will tell. Starlane lap timer is toast, and as far as I know the OEM dash I just got off chubb is completely missing. It didn't come back from T1 with the bike, apparently.

The surgery went well! I was home and chillin about four hours after I got to the hospital, which must be some kind of record!! I gotta say that apart from it taking forever to process paperwork when I was trying to initially get discharged, Westmead has really impressed me this time.

I actually wrote a lengthy post on exactly what happened, but somehow I didn't actually post it and it disappeared. I'll re-write it sometime soonish.

Nick are you saying the LHS peg broke, then your foot stripped the chain, and that caused the off? What like the lack of drive caused you to run wide? Foot / chain bit sounds v nasty ... can't see the sharkfin in photos ... did it come off too?

Your post on what happened is bound to be a best seller ... better stump up for some more TT bandwidth this month
