    Turn 1 crash rebuild

So with the help of Mr Turner, the bike came out of the trailer today. It looks surprisingly ok. No visible frame damage, forks look straight (to the naked eye - they still need checking properly). The swingarm is scratched up, and there's a small puncture in the left side of the radiator. The clipons and levers etc all need replacing. The fairing stay too, and the wires have been ripped out of the O2 (or is it the intake temp?) sensor in the air intake, but I have a spare plug so that's easy fixed. The electronics look otherwise ok (PC5, quickshifter, ecu, reg/rec). Both wheels look slightly out of round, but just a little bent instead of creased, so I'm sure Laurie can roll them straight again.

yeah can't believe the tank is unscuffed!

there will be two sensors in the air intake.. one for temp and the other for pressure...

I think the 06/07 only had the one for temp..

Laurie fixed the dent in my wheel so he should be able to fix yours!

Actually pretty good, thanks mate. I'll get more news on Monday when I have a follow up with the doc, but it's feeling heaps better in general post-op. I'm actually thinking round 1 might be a possibility now....

Jeez we've got some good people on this forum! Big shout-out to BoB, who came over and stripped the bike down today. The forks are fine (untouched), and the front wheel & discs etc is likewise untouched. The rear wheel does have a minor little bend on the outer lip on one side, so off to Laurie's tomorrow to get rolled straight.

I prepped for a big shopping list, but the only things I actually need are a clutch cable and a stator cover! Obviously new clipon bars and new levers are also in order, but I have them in stock (I know a guy....). The radiator just has a small puncture on the very outside side panel (nowhere near the vanes), so it's going to the radiator shop tomorrow to get sorted. Should be an easy fix. Oh, and a steering stop has broken too, so I'll fix that up shortly too, following the how-to on this forum

Yay Bob. Wow that is good news. I only looked at it for a couple of mins to take pics on the day but I expected lots of bent major parts. Spose it was the sad looking fairing, the poor dash and all that oil distracting me from the true damage. Saw on facebook I think that you got your awning up too. Think we better keep an eye on you in case you start bunging on injuries to get the jobs done while you kick back lol.
No...I'm not loving that and I'm not loving that! But I'm loving this!
