Why you should service your suspension

Servicing a rear shock from an R6 today. Check out the oil.... It's soooo full of gas that it looks like champagne! It's not going to be doing any damping in this state. You're essentially riding around on the spring.

Most OEM shocks are actually pretty good when freshly serviced. But they leak gas into the oil over time, so they end up with almost no gas pressure and badly aerated oil. Both mean they aren't doing much damping.

Wow, that's amazing. I never though it could get that bad. I guess that's why zeno said you should service your dampening every year
I do today what people won't so I can do tomorrow what people can't

That's very creamy ... was that off an R6 trackie? Owner will notice a difference. I should service mine ... done nothing to it in a year and T1 really works the suspension these dayz.

Will do. Couple of things left to do and want to make sure it works properly first.
