La Corsa Valve Stems

I recently purchased some right angled La Corsa valve stems, I have since found out they are prone to leaking. Apparently it's the thread inside the valve stem not the actual valve which wears or can leak. Reduced tire pressure means less grip and for me it meant I crashed out of a race.
