How to wire up keyless ignition for R6

Well first off you have to flash that immobiliser out of the ECU. Talk to Marshy or Carl or some tuning shops can do so for you.
If you don't have it flashed out the immobiliser will kick in and you can get all the electrics on but the bike won't kick over.

Once you do that trace the wires from the ignition barrel down to where it plugs in. There will be a two wire plug, a single wire plug and a 6 pin plug. You can unplug the 6 pin wire (located under the airbox) and leave that there. Take off the triple clamp

    and you're left with this

For the R6 you will have to drill through the bolts holding the ignition barrel in place. I also grinded off the metal around the ignition barrel but you can leave it as it is if you like.

I gave it a quick lick of paint so no exposed metal is visible.

    Now for the wiring..
Like I said at the start you got three plugs from the ignition

Immobiliser can be unplugged and the two brown wires can be wired together and the red one can be left alone. If you wire the red and the brown of the two wire plug then your electrics will always be on which you don't want. So just the two brown together.

Solder/crimp and tape them up and you are done

    Put everything back together

Oddly, I only had to hook up the two wires on the main plug, not the third single wire. Different flash but.

Very nice, I like your carbon camera/res mount!
Mine has this done too. Leaves plenty of room for the lap timer underneath the dash with the barrel gone.
Picked up an LED switch at Marshy's the other night, wired that in place of the flick switch. Photos don't really do it justice but it Looks alive now!
The 3rd pole on the switch, LED wire, just needs grounding (first try linked it to the high-beam dash light, oops!)

I gotta say that these switches look totally horn in real life! I will post pics of my Ape later today.

I lost count of the number of times we 'tested' them just one more time, as they looked so damn cool!!

I'd say that's not a great idea. You need the kill switch to stop the bike in case of emergency, or a problem with your primary ignition switch!
