ASBK round 2 - the finale!

So preparations continue apace for SSR's epic journey to the deep dark south for the second and final round of ASBK at Phillip Island next weekend! I'd thought I'd share what chrispy09 has been up to on his Ducrappi......

Single-sided-swingarms are easier to change wheels, they said. Ducatis are easy to work on, they said. Ducatis are light, they said. I missed the bit where they said you needed a 2-ton crane to work on them!

Not the suits (although by referral I guess), and I never stopped selling the gloves (which rock btw). But the suits are back on my recommended list for sure!

Hahahahahahaha!!! Yep, I'm lap-timing my trip down!!

Farkin unreal day today! Cold and windy (actually it was surprisingly warm, but the wind chill was quite bad). There was a shower mid-afternoon, but an hour later the track was dry again. Big turnout; lots of fast guys.

Tough conditions at the end of the day, it always looks easier watching videos than it is on the bike dealing with the at time conditions

That would be me! The other, taller, one is my erstwhile team mate, Chris "Webke" Perini - on here sometimes as chrispy-something-or-other.

His nickname from high school. As in the footballer. I don't have the heart to tell him Shane spells it Webcke.

On lap 8 or so, I thought it was pretty dry, so came through faster on the next lap, missed the dry line and nearly had a big off!! Then I just settled back and took it easy.

One for the purists. A long chase as SSR's Nick Marsh aboard an Aprilia RSV4 chases down SSR's Chris Webke Perini on his Ducati 1199 Panigale in race 2 of the EVO class at ASBK - Australian Superbikes.

And here's the reverse view of the superbike race I posted initially (race 2). A great battle between team mates. On board with SSR's Chris Webke Perini for the final Superbike race of the ASBK - Australian Superbikes season, battling with SSR's Nick Marsh.
