new race glass, buy local or ship from US?

After this at the last PCRA round

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FaQUjAXoOw0

I need new race glass for the 750SRAD (and a collar bone lol).

Aus suppliers seem to be $900 plus, and racers edge have not even responded to the email sent via their website. The racers edge on it for some years has worn well and was strong / well made, but

Several much cheaper options, even with shipping, on ebay US, savings in the order of $400 plus.

Has anyone had any bad / good experiences buying from the US, and can anyone recommend a local supplier who is not twice the price? thanks

I tried to buy SRAD race glass from somewhere in the states and the guy took it to post and it wasn't allowed to be shipped due to size. Once I sussed a way to get it here the shipping quote was more than the glass and blew it out completely and found local suppliers for less (but still more than I was willing to pay for a road bike only my dad was using at the track).

Just get it from Marshy. You know the guy :-)

Marshy doesn't do for this model.
I've got a full set of racers edge that you can have for $600
Cost me a bomb, about $900 plus shipping from memory. The quality of the moulds etc is good but I had to pay Wetty to modify the bottom of the belly pan as it would hit the rear tyre with a 200/60 on it. All good now - they were fitted just so Displaced (Grant) could do a single PCRA round on my spare bike, then removed.

    SOLD
