    Headlift stand hitting nose fairing

    Hey guys.
Just got my hands on a head lift stand but I'm finding that it hits the nose of my fairing when raise it up. I have the correct pin and its seated correctly.
Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if its going to be something that could damage the fairings and fairings mounts.
I think if the pin was longer it would be fine, read somewhere of people packing washers on it to raise it up a bit but would worry about the pin not being long enough then.
    Pretty much like this.

If you get an Anderson steering head lifter it has a pivot Point on the arm so this does not happen.

Nah just generic brand. I've researched it a bit and seems to happen on Kawasaki's a bit since the nose angles down more over the front fender.

I can check it on mine if you want, pretty sure my front stand is an Anderson...

Would say its the design of the cheap stand + the pin length + the ZX fairing design. Added about 1.5cm of washers and it didn't stop it from happening

That's what the Anderson one looks like and it doesn't touch the fairings.

Ok, I checked mine... and I was wrong. I have the Kaneg one. It doesn't touch the farings but it gets pretty close. Works for me though.

Does it put a lot of pressure on it, like its partially picking up the bike from the fairing? My only worry is stressing the fairing mounts

Hmmm now that Saturnalian mentioned, same thing happened to the R6 I had... it would even make a little 'cracking' noise. Never cracked anything I noticed though.
