Elbow. Actually I was supprised how bad it was, I drove to the hospital.
To much gas lost the back end, and must have cut the throttle. I'll have a look at the footage in a couple of days

Quick one re wrapping Lee. Stay with the good shit. Having wrapped my second set of fairings now the difference between a good vinyl wrap and a notso good (read cheap) are light years apart.
The 3m is so much more workable, washable and durable than any of the cheaper ones i've used.

And don't be tempted to use a blade except to cut the vinyl off the roll. The knifeless tape is the shiz once you get the hang of it.Really easy to get a good butt seam by using 2 strips of knifeless tape on each join.

Yep 3m all the way. A few people have said to stay away from the cheap shit.

Seen the knife less tape, never tried it, but if you say it's good, I will give it a go.

    Thanks for the inside tips

I could do with a replacement Owen! Hahaha...
So will it just be new cases or is there more that'll need to be swapped out?

Just as screen shot video, but tell me what you guys think.
I think I got on the gas a bit early lost the back and over corrected ???? I pretty sure I diddent chop the throttle but not 100% sure it happened pretty quick
I over took a guy on the back straight prior so entered the corner a little narrower than my usual line. Not sure weather that was part of the issue?

Looks like you got on the gas too much too soon on the small part of the tyre and chopped it else it would have low sided

What tyres were you running, Luke? It looks like just a bit too much gas on a not-so-grippy tyre. It's not 'oh clearly that was wrong', so probably just one of those things. Assuming the tyre was good....

Tyers are Metzeler slicks only 5 sessions (south circut) old. Heaps left in them.
I'll put it down to a little inexperience., over eager on the gas, need to stand the bike up quicker. Live and learning guess.

Do you have the video with audio?
That might help to hear what the revs were doing...
It does look like your right arm comes up after it begins to let go tho.
I wouldn't be too hard on yourself about chopping the throttle tho, it's a survival reaction after all!

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd revive an old one.

What's the deal with camera mounts?

I've heard conflicting versions & the SU site is shit to navigate for clarification.

Will it pass if you mount a GoPro or similar externally (front number plate) and, can you use a suction cup mount?

    Cheers

  30. #80
No suction cup mounts. has to be an adhesive or clamping mount and it has to be secondary tethered to some thing decent... (zip ties work as a teather to a hole in something)

if you do both of those you will be fine... It has to be mounted before scrutineering so they can see its mounted properly.

    Thanks for the info Carl.

I'm off to buy more adhesive mounts.
