Wouldn't fancy hitting the ripple strips from the other direction either.

Well, I just entered. I am still waiting on my MA license to come through, but form is in and money is paid. I've entered unlimited clubsport on the R1.
Couple of questions regarding numbers, I picked a 3 digit number comprising my nieces b'days, 27th and 2nd, so I got 272, well asked for it? What are the rules regarding number boards and colours for numbers? Do I simply order them from St George? Is plain white contact or something enough on the front and ducktail to put the numbers on?
Jebus, I have no idea...
Go easy on me!
Nath
You can get race numbers from many bike shops. For an R1 you will need White numbers on red background. Front and rear. But wait till your number is confirmed just in case it's reserved by someone else ( pretty unlikely).
Thanks for your help! I'm assuming the numbers are all fairly standardised for size and font?
14. RIDING NUMBERS
14.1 Final riding numbers will be notified with final instructions. Numbers are available for sale from the Race Secretary if required.
14.2 Competitors will be allocated their riding number as per the requirements of St. George MCC or their preferred riding number,
if entry is received by the early bird discount date.
14.3 All machines numbers and plates must comply with the MoMS.
Front numbers to be positioned centre (if possible) or towards the riders left of the number plate for the North and GP Circuits and riders right for the South circuit.
and see MOMs 13.11. http://moms.org.au/wp-content/upload...5_MOMS-WEB.pdf
But I wouldn't worry too much about the font.
Ah, I knew I had read it somewhere, thanks mate. Appreciate your help! I swear I must have looked at that page and it didn't sink in...
They have numbers for sale on the day at sign on. $1 each from memory.
Hahahah!!
There's a useful sticky on the racing page too:

Right transferred the funds and forms submitted. Now how does this north circuit thing work for Saturday? Just don't turn right at T4 ay

hopefully you also include turning left...
its actually a flip flop so watch a few of the boys lines on youtube etc to get a feel for it. its been a while since I rode it (not rushing back for the enjoyment), but from memory there was a bump coming out that tended to pop the front ...
treat it as a practice day through there till you have made your way around a few times and know where the track is at. Then go racing!!

I quite like the North Circuit to be honest. Did as Little Mick said the first time, took it easy for practice and wound it up gradually once I'd worked out some lines and where the grip was.
Ended up qualifying on the 2nd row!

It's actually really good fun I reckon, a nice change up. Certainly wouldn't que up to go there all the time but once a year is great fun. Good fast circuit and you can really get stuck into the throttle out of the flip flop.
Exactly right! The flip is actually more on camber and grippier than it first appears, so you can go in pretty hard. But the flop is off camber and not very grippy. And there's a slight ridge just as you're asking for full throttle as you are coming back onto the T9 track, and there have been a number of serious accidents there. So be careful!
It's the best way to improve your T10 speed for the normal track later

Got to be careful on the way out , can high side there, also you end up at a higher speed coming into the last corner
Forms submitted at the last minute. Went all out and entered both 600's and Clubsport 600's. Figured the extra track time will come in handy. Looking forward to battling it out with others around my pace.....and beating Binksy of course :P
There are a few different lines through there, (but not much room to pass) so if you mess it up, it's not too big of a deal. As Marshy said, the left hander you can go in heaps faster than you think as you wash off speed tipping in and then when you hit the uphill. Just don't be ham fisted with the throttle over the crest and you'll be fine.

Is there any reason why I would be listed for the Saturdays North Circuit but not the Sundays GP for 600cc D grade?

Im racing so ill see you there Kanga, though im in clubsport only. North circuit was fun last time, even though I spent all day sorting suspension out. Should be mental this time, Pbs for me.
