Thread: The next project

After considering how I was going to manage my tyre usage for this weekends FXRRC race meet I thought I'd like to swap tyres mid meet, so in order to save the time required to get a cold tyre and rim up to temperature I decided I needed a spare wheel tyre warmer stand.
I had a bit of time to spare to-day, so I whipped this up....god it's good to have all the right cutting and welding gear other wise it would have taken all weekend

    Nice bit of kit!

I was thinking of something similar to mount wheels on my open trailer.

I've been trying to find an easy solution for this, I've seen some creative things at the track, I've seen people mod trolleys. But the simplest I've seen is two car axel stands with a bar or big screwdriver resting on it.

Here's a trolley I saw at the last FX round

Duncan Barnes, bless his cotton socks, made me a very professional one ages ago. I cart it around everywhere, but hardly ever use it. It comes in very handy when it is needed though!
