    Intermittent cutting out :(

Still have to try to sort these electrical gremlins.

  5. #105
It's electrical? Little Mick's problem was intermittent as well and it turned out to be just a dirty fuel filter if I remember correctly

The FI light comes on and I get codes 64 and 72.

Bike has to come to a complete stop as it would have no throttle response.

Turn the key off and on and it worked again.

Happened twice today and Wakefield park.

Thanks to mstevo as well that helped me pick what I'm lacking!

Gonna pull apart all the wiring and see if anything is shorting on the frame or something.

    Shrugs shoulders

  8. #108
That is pretty annoying... sort of like my bike having only 60-70hp when it's running the KIT ECU and not being able to know exactly why. At least last ARDC day Rhino and I (with much help from the Silver Fox himself) ruled out a few things and came up with what seems to be a logical reason. Then again, we had other logical reasons before and they all turned out to be wrong! hahahaha Back in the box it goes again till we can test it all out properly.

Rip the tyres off the spare

Off to redback to get the main wheels done properly.

Report back with colours over the next couple of weeks.

    White again Jamie.

Jamie doesn't believe in anything but white wheels.

Called akra dealers to try to find a price for the y-pipe.. have to wait till Monday before they are open...

Got my cheep cheep keyless fuel cap today too. The tuff jug nozzle fits in nicely. Tops!

All sorted. The bike runs sweet now.

Gonna tear into the engine for a refresh after the first round.

No one cares if you're running a stock engine, nor do they believe you if you're running towards the front.

    and heavy
I won one at one of the St George rounds and it's still sitting in the shed.
I made my guard from the sheets you get from super cheep $30
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...d=155327#Cross

it has saved my radiator more times than I can tell, most recently from a knee slider @ 185km
I'm amazed at the amount of bolts etc that fall of peoples bikes on track days and race meets.

I didn't think it was particularly heavy, although I didn't think to weigh it. I have another option though, for those not skilled at bending mesh etc. New products for Superbike Source - just arrived and not even on the website yet: Radiator guards!!

I just checked, and they weigh in at a smidgen over 200 grams, including the plastic packaging, foam padding and cable ties! Special offer for TT members, $70 pickup, or $80 posted. R6 and ZX10R in stock; others available soon and on request.

    No they werent that heavy..

I weighed them and it came in at 320grams so about a 100grams heavier than yours

What material are yours made of?

Aluminium, but they have a much thinner border than the Radguard ones, which is I suspect the entire 100 grams difference.

Need to put one on mine stat Marshy - sounds like I've been lucky so far not to cop a puncture. A guy in our garage went off in T2 today and had a bellypan of pebbles which like to hide in the fairing / engine etc despite all best efforts to locate and remove them all! Actually can you see if you can get one for the Pani as well??

    Thanks

  30. #130
Yep, 1199 Panigale ones are on their way! I actually got one out for your R6 too, but we didn't quite get around to putting it on.

They look very good Nick, and great pricing.
Most radiator guards are a rip, for what they are.

If I was installing mine again I'd tap the swing arm out and use some metric bots. Those imperial speed nuts and bolts are a bit of a joke, not to mention the gaping holes u gotta drill in the swing arm, I almost cried. Also the holes should be imperial also, I used the closest metric equivalent, but those nuts have a bit too much play in them.

Don't forget to carry that imperial Allen key with you at the track cause they can come loose, I got massive rear wheel chatter when I went down to first by accident, it shook the bolts loose, lost one and the fin got attacked by the chain, old sharky ain't so pretty no more.

Fucking yanks, get with the metric system.
