Thread: Bargain

    Bargain

So I thought I'd start a thread where ppl could just come and post whatever bargain they want to share.

I'll kick things off with SKINS.

Yeah, I know... some ppl swear by compression garments (myself included) others say they're bad for you when riding a bike and bla bla bla... whatever your opinion is there's a bargain to be had and this is the main point here. This being TT, I also expected the off topic comments to take over (as they should!)

Anyway, this is the link for the place that's having a sale on skins... some of them are REAALLY cheap! Personally, I wouldn't bother with the A100 as they're pretty much what any other generic brand will offer. From the A200 onwards there's a big difference IMHO.

What a great idea (this thread!)

Off topic but I just went from compression / skins to the onesies that Tristan sells and I MUCH prefer them. But I'm a weird shape

I really just use skins to make it easier to slide in and out of my leathers. Got a long sleeve top from eBay Korea for $9 delivered. Bargain!

Dri-fit polyester works well for they too & isn't compression / tight. Nike & Under Armour make them

eBay search compression shirt / pants worldwide and sort by price lowest to highest. They be up the top somewhere. Got them ages ago so links are dead.

Cheers Dan! Hey pretty sure we were in the same garage last year on an ARDC day. You were drilling holes all over your Suzy to mount your liquid ego camera.

White R6. She's a bit more colorful now though! Think you were there with your mate on the blue CBR600. Was the day I also bought my black CBR1000.

There was some talk about Skins a while back. This site has Proskin alternatives really cheap at the moment - eg Mens Active Compression Long Sleeve Crew Top (Black) for $30. You have to join the site or just login through facebook. Lots of other sporting stuff in there - anything I've price checked has been the lowest price on the interwebs which is saying something...

I just tried on the 2 piece and it was too small. It fit, but was too tight to be comfortable for the road. It is an old stock suit and the newer ones fit much better.

Torpedo7.com.au are having a sale. Some pretty good buys on there now!

  40. #40
Ok, this is more than a bargain... I almost started a new thread just for it but I got lazy.

If you own a R6 (and lots of you do!!) and haven't invested properly on your suspension yet**, it's time to pull the trigger on this... You'll never find a new Ohlins rear shock for this price again. Evah. MK II and all to top it off...

    https://www.motomummy.com/rear-shock...13-r6-blowout/

**if you already invested, don't click... it will make you depressed.

    good find!

  42. #42
hmmm having just spent $1500 on car tyres major :(

  43. #43
Probably discontinuing the MKII now they've released the new TTX GP... but I'd find it hard to justify paying the extra $ on the new model.

  44. #44
I just bought a rebuilt rear shock. I clicked. Whaaaaa! Lol

Mannnn seriously considering buying the ohlins shock!!!

  49. #49
Do it! You can't lose money on suspension... I mean, really. Even if you hate, if you pull that out of the bike you're sure to at least get your money back with a bit of interest.
