Probably easier just to do as Jan (and co) are suggesting, and make it carby and injected. Then have injected roll forward a year each year as before. I'd support an extra year older for the cutoff, so 6 year old model year (not compliance plate) and older. No more, because you really want to hit that sweet spot where bikes have significantly devalued (5 years is the current age for this), but not before they plateau in value or artificially increase due to specific eligibility for clubsport (the way that the current rules artificially inflate the price of year-models with a compliance plate late in the year before).
