A friend asked how it happened and I gave this explanation. Does it seem about right?

This is what I think happened: I came on the gas too hard for the amount of traction I had (bike leaned over, smaller contact patch, less grip) so when I grabbed the throttle too aggressively the rear spun up causing the shift to the left and it lost traction. Once it moved to the left it actually gripped again but my front wheel was pointing in the wrong direction so rather than moving forward properly the front wheel became a brake as it was forced along the tarmac against the rotation of the tyre. This caused the rear to come up and rear of the bike turned on the front, bouncing from side to side before completely unsettling the bike and eventually tossing me off.
