I've got it hardwired and it turns on with the ignition. As advised by Marshy. I'd say I'll just leave the backlighting on as it is a little bit deeper in the fairing space than is ideal. Easily visible from seating position though! Once I get rid of the key amd ignition barrel garbage, it will move to where yours is. Love it there mate, looks great!

100% when I get my finger out and hardwire it in, I will do just as you have with ignition on backlight etc! 🏻
