Hope yas all have a good one. Might try and make it on friday
Interesting day yesterday to say the least Started by realising (when sitting in the queue to drive in) that I left my stands at home. Doh! Luckily a mate who's sister was flagging had her bring me some out. First session (Green Group) four corners in gear leaver rod falls out again. Luckily it was a quick fix but session missed. Session 2 oil flag out with oil on the straight. Session 3, a rider crashed on lap 2. Still waiting to go out when a rider crashes on turn 2 after the restart of the session. Session 4, 3 crashes! Rest of the day went ok and was getting back into as was only my second ride in ten months. At the end of the day my belly pan had radiator fluid in it - must have been from the overflow as the multiple stops and starts saw the engine temp reach 106'.
Thanks all for the gearing advice! Went 15 on the front and 45 on the back and it made a massive difference. So much more drive around the back and onto the straight and my rear tyre is now super smooth.
Cheers, Andrew
[QUOTE=Acionyx;17602]no way in hell is that bad boy going out on the track - Would you care to rephrase that comment as in a complete and utter retraction.

ahahahaa my thoughts exactly!
Good day today, made some good progress. It got really hot but the track seemed to still have some grip in it . Was good catching up with Chubb and Marshy on track and everyone else off track. Cheers
Good weather on Sat and nice to catch up with some of the tarmac crew . Had some nice laps out there trying to catch Slowbro on his cbr600 , he is getting way too much practice while im not getting enough
Too many seem to coming to grief and red flags coming out in green . Followed the bike down the straight that was like a smoke screen , he had the sense to pull over and limited the amount of oil on track . Another guy on his track bike panigale came into the pits with his bike smoking followed shortly by the fire crew , but wasnt needed fortunately , dropping oil somewhere on the motor , the sidewall of the rear tyre had oil on it , lucky he noticed something on t12 (begining of the straight) and came straight in .
Looks like the weather also was good to those on sunday.

Not sure if they mentioned it during the riders' briefing on 1st but yesterday Paul Bailey said there's a good they'll be allowing cameras at their track days soon!
About 10 years too late but better late than too late
On Saturday during the briefing whe Paul mentioned cameras he said words to the affect that we're not allowed to have them at the MOMENT. Interesting.
Yesterday he said something along the lines of "We're in talks with our insurer and they seem to be more accepting of the idea of cameras now"
Would be good. It's about time they moved with the times.

not so sure about cameras but that's common sense to include them,
As Paul said at the briefing most new sports bikes have built in timers, so they are already in use, although "we ask you not to use them" he added
apparently using timing gear changes the insurance classification from ride day to race meet and therefore premium cost and who have running things all changes
Edit.. Paul also said if you wanted to send in a submission as part of the lobbing for change that could help
