Took this out for ride for an upcoming review - one of the best electronic packages I have felt on a motorcycle
DSC_0111.JPG
I haven't tested it enough on the road to give a full verdict. I have had it kick in, but only when I was trying to get it too (aggressive throttle openings).
Wheelie control is hands down the best one out there and the quickshifter is super smooth.
I wasn't sold on the looks when I first saw photos, but in the flesh it is awesome.
Interesting, I reckon it's gorgeous too! Great to hear the QS is good, I've heard the auto-blipping is ace too.
Where's the review going and when can we read??![]()

The engine is getting close. SBK team says somewhere in the region of 200 to 205BHP is expected. We will see..
These are the Superbike 1 ring DLC coated pistons, too nice to place in a combustion engine!

This is looking so damn good!!
I love how the APX2 & reg/rec etc are all mounted in the nose. Very neat
I sort of assumed the APX would go in the tail.

Yep its rather neat. Tail houses the battery, gps and starter/relay. They use all the subframe room for fuel
Got to love the RSV4, one day when I'm a grown up, I'll have one... I can't wait to see the final product!
Soooooo, when's the dyno run??? There are thousands of people all around the world waiting on a graph![]()

haha ! this i doubt
dyno later this month, few things to yet go on. Exhaust/Tank/Radiator - the tank needs slightly massaging because this tank is from the CRT bike when they ran the carbon airbox , the carbon airbox is of course different to the OEM airbox WSBK runs so its being modified to fit. I hope to get it on the dyno in the next 2-3 weeks
Thanks to some trick internals - we can run some pretty neat cam timingInteresting times....
Spent the day putting the old fairings back on big 95. Waiting for the call to get new big 95

Look just like the old one ... ?????
Actually, I'm with Linden on this one
They've replaced the steering head angle inserts with very different offsets to the previous model (which you could do in 5 minutes to an older one) which makes the front end look very different whilst not actually being any different at all, and added some more horsepowers internally, but I'm not sure anything else has really changed, except colours.
But seeing as the old one just needed a couple of extra ponies to be the bestestest bike ever made, they might have just nailed it with this one
I am interested to hear just how much extra power it actually makes, real world.

Actually, looking at the specs of the different models, I am wrong. So there's no frame difference now between the RR and the RF. Previously, the R got a non-adjustable frame (which was absolutely spot-on, geometry-wise, anyway), and only the Factory got the adjustment for steering head angle, rake, engine height and swingarm pivot position. It now looks like all models get the adjustable frame. The only differences, therefore, are the Sachs versus Ohlins bouncy bits. Previously it was Sachs and non-adjustable frame versus Ohlins and adjustable frame. But the price difference between the two models has closed too, as it used to be nearly $10k difference, and now it's $6k. Which makes sense, because a replacement R frame was ~A$1.5k and an adjustable Factory frame was ~$5k. Although if you were skilled with metalwork, it wouldn't be a big job to nibble out the filled-in bits on the R frame to convert it to a Fatory frame. The geometry was all the same, just the spacers/inserts were different.
