I have the rear oem on my race bike and wanted to try braided on this build to see which I preferred.
it's bog stock rear brake system.

First round of track tests finished over the weekend. New fairings haven't arrived yet so I've got Spilly's old ones on there for now...
Front end feels great! Brakes are amazing and the forks are a dream, once I got the clickers and pre-load sorted. Rear is a little soft so we'll need to get that re-sprung.
She's in at the Dyno this week. Pick her up on Thursday ahead of more testing on Friday!

Had the second round of track testing on Friday. She's just back from the dyno so I was keen to see what had changed.
    Firstly, here's what we did:

    ECU Flash & Tune -
    Fuel Mapping
    Throttle Mapping
    Inlet/Butterfly Timing
    Ignition Mapping
    Exup/O2 Sensor Eliminated
    Immobiliser Eliminated
    Dash Gear Indicator Added
    Thermo Fan Temp Lowered

Before I took it to be tuned, I actually thought the bike had more grunt. This was something of an illusion as the throttle curve was all over the shop and quite unpredictable. Given the right scenario, it may well have flicked me off. The tune made it more predictable as well as giving more mid-range and outright power, adding up to 30% more fuel in some spots.

    O2 sensor plug

Preload and clickers dialled in for the front end, starting to feel pretty great!

New spring for the rear. With a lot of struggling due to the frozen shoulder, managed to get this on for a few sessions at the track.

Next up I'll start race prepping it. First on goes the shark fin...

Doesn't look as good down on the swingarm but will probably help me out more!

The new fairings should be here any day now. Before I fit them up, I'll get to work on lockwire, take some pics then get her out for a race!

Happy with how it pulls now? How'd she feel when you put the new spring in?

Yes! It's far more predictable now and the power has significantly increased, right where I need it.
Couple that with the quick throttle and quick shifter - I'm cheering!!

The re-sprung shock has made a great difference to the back end too.
It was a bit wallowy before and struggled to drive forward, cleanly.
Now it's much tighter and also feels like a great improvement to the power going down.

Who did you get to map your bike if you don't mind sharing? Will have to look into that at some stage... bike feels good as is other than the odd popping on deccel but I'm sure it can be improved

I got it all done at Tuneboy in Hornsby.
    http://www.tuneboy.com.au/

Wayne is a top bloke and REALLY knows his stuff. On top of the tuning/dyno stuff, he's working on all kinds of projects from gyro sensors (like the iPhone one) helping with TC to ECU based launch control, quick shifters and auto throttle blipping. Really fascinating what he's able to do.

    You're both right

Chubb, it is from me, yes.

Sicko, chubb got the Arrow mid-pipe only, not the muffler too. Confusion reigned, as there were Arrow boxes everywhere that day.

With the immobiliser flashed out of the bike's ECU, theres's no need for a large key barrel on my top triple clamp.

So, I got out the angle grinder and cut off the bracket.

It took a while, there's a fair bit of metal there!

Next a bit of a file followed by some emery paper and she's smooth as a baby's bum.

A bit of rattle can black and it looks factory!

I will need something to turn the bike on tho... Gotta be a back-lit "Arm" button!

Wire it in to the ignition harness...

Then mounted it to a backing plate, beside the dash.

    She lives!!

Tonnes of space infront of the dash now!! Hmmmmm. I'd best hard wire a lap timer in...

Managed to source the power connector from AIM.

Found some hot power on the bike and wired her in.

    Like a bought one!

Thanks Nick! Glad you enjoyed the thread, I've loved building it.
It's sooooo close to being finished. There's a new quick-fill keyless fuel cap (love this) to go on then some lock wire and the fairings, which have unfortunately been held up.
Once I've the shiny new fairings go on, I'll be sure to update with the finished product!

The last step in getting rid of any keys was putting on a keyless fuel cap

This also has the added benefit of being able to fit my new quick pour fuel jugs.
These are super cool and have a measuring scale written upside-down on the bottle so you can see how much fuel you're loading!

Here it is all fitted up... you might also notice the NEW TANK COVER!

The fairings are finally here so they got fitted up and I reckon they look fantastic!
It's a WSBK paint job from a few years back that really caught my eye...
Adjusted slightly to leave room for name numbers and logos etc but here she is!

Just put on some Stomp Grips and some lock wire and she'll be ready to race!
